Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu..

Could a tamil film can be dubbed to tamil again. It's V square. The title card says "Another episode in a police life", It'll be more fit if the title card reads "Same episode in another police life". You know, what film I am rambling about. yep, It's Kaaka Kaaka. Director Gowtham who earlier directed K K now come up with V V with no change in his previous team and the worse thing is no change with his old script. Each frame reminds the earlier version, trust me even the dialogue delivery, body language of the artists. Too much.

The story line is simple. Kamalhaasan - DCP of chennai - is being hooked up solving a murder case, how he nab the culprits is the rest 150 mins. For romance is Kamalini Mukherjee ( telugu film - 'Anand' fame ) and Jo (Ore aaruthal). They showed kamal as a police officer in his early 40's, Thank god for that. First half is better when compared with the 2nd. Kamal fans can relish, as there is kamal filling up the frame in almost every shot. Lot of 'A' rated talks and the usual 'Yeeei...' make you search for an Anacin. Harris Jeyaraj sounded more good in KK, may be he would have thought this is enough for this. Photography by Ravivarman, D.F.Tech. deserves a pat on his back for capturing Newyork tastefully.

JO is a beautiful divorcee living in US, and kamal who lost his wife ( kamalini mukherjee ) in an accident develops a liking towards JO. (obvious). Did they join hands is the knot at the end. NO such kamal's romance here as we used to see. To mention, the script presses the accel in the first half run out of fuel after the pause. To put simply, not up to the expectation.

Positve : The team managed to come up with the release inspite of all the financial runouts.

Negative : Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V

Srikanth..saw the trailers and vimarsanam..Romba supernu sonnanga. But as u said I believe the shots of MY and the camera work was distinguishable.
The songs also sound like copied ones..Even the dresses..I could see that too even in few minutes.
(Didnt get to see the movie though)

Kamal and Prakash Raj said that this is a different movie..dont know why they thought it was not copied one..But I was so mad at the vimarsanam they interviewed only men and talked about only men. Except Surya said something about Jo (he has to probably..)
The NY shots were captured from helicopter and the camera man had done good work but apparently he didnt wear his setas belts and kept holding the camera in his hand hurting the person next to him. He said he also threw away the head phones because they were distrubing him!!
