u know what, this place once upon a time our (5) ground, I suspect now serving as a hiding ground for Binladen vagaiyarakaal. antha alavuku deserted. right vudunga...

இப்போ நான் எதுக்கு வந்தேன்னு கேட்டீங்கன்னா, ஒரு புது பாட்ட பத்தி அப்பிடியே உங்க கிட்ட பீல் பண்ணிட்டு போகலாம்னு, ஐ அம் தி என்ட்ரி.

பெரியார் பெரியார் னு ஒரு படம். நம்ப ஞான ராஜசேகரன் (பாரதி டைரக்டர்) தான் இதையும் இயக்கி இருக்கார். இளையராஜாவும் இவரும் உரசிதுனால இந்த படத்துக்கு வித்யாசாகர் வாசிச்சு இருக்கார். பாரதியோட அளவுகோல் வச்சி பார்த்தா பெரியாரில் பாடல்கள் சுமார் தான். ஆனால் பாருங்க இந்த பாட்டு மட்டும் மத்ததிலிருந்து தனியா நிக்குது. இந்த பாடல் ஒரு வேளை மக்களை கவர்ந்தால் ( கவர்ந்தால் ) உறுதியாக பாடலை பாடிய கே.ஜே கு தான் பெரும் பங்கு. உருகி இருக்கார்யா மனுஷன். வைர வரிகள் முத்தான அர்த்த்ங்கள், தெரிந்து இருக்கும் பாடலை எழுதியது யாரென்று. நன்றி வித்யாசாகர், வரிகள் ஒலிக்கும் பொழுது இசை மேலோங்காமல் பாடலை துல்லியமாக ஒலிக்க வைத்தமைக்கு.

பொறுத்து இருந்து பார்ப்போம் திரு. ஞானசேகரனும் திரு. தங்கர்பச்சானும் பாடலின் ஒளிஒவியத்தை எத்துனை நியாயப்படுத்தி இருக்கிறார்களேன்று.

பாடலை கேளுங்கள் என்னைப் போலவே உங்களையே மறவுங்கள்.

Sainikudu - Miss or Worse ??

Reel 8 - Start 90:00 mins

During the Interval, the question in my mind changed to >>read heading>>.

> It's an unwritten rule in the woods (Kolly, Tolly) that before the interval popcorn enter your oesophagus, the film should feature a song. Bulls eye. Another lavish set - another foot tapping number ( O chilaka Raa Chilaka ) which is highly influenced by Chayya Chayya ( Dilse ) beats. Well done. Note : To vijay ( Intha paatuku Kamna Jethmalani guest appearance ) therefore interval mudiyarthuku munaadi seat ku vanthudu.


> Now Hero and Trisha is in the city, ( dei sidhartha (hero name) tell me half good reason why the hell you took her to the kaadu before interval and ipo ethuku naatuku vanthe ) hero gotta find a hiding place from where he could watch villain's activities as well. No worries, there is a place made ready, where else it's the campus of Police Headquarters. An abandoned container at the headquarters site cater hero's need.


> This abandoned container in minutes is transformed into a studio with all the modern facilities built in. Hero hook the telephone line and also hook electricity. fortunately no police notice this. My first question is answered here - Why the hero abducted Trisha, we realise then, hero took trisha as a hostage and demand villain to serve the people by doing his duties. One of his demand to villain is to build housing boards for people who lost their houses in the flood (remember first scene). The construction work is shown using fastforwarding technology result the housing board is ready in 2 mins like Maggie.


> Within this time frame, police found out the exact location of their hiding only to find the container is vacated already. Time to play another song ( Maayera Maayera ). This song truly deserves a mention. The special effects, picturisation, color grading techniques, in a sentence - technically very sound song. kudos to the technicians. This song is the ore aaruthal in the whole movie. worth watching in the silver screen.


> Next scene, Hero is infront of the villain's house and releasing Trisha asking her to get into the house. Villain is also out of the house and welcoming Trisha, be careful this is the turning point in the movie - now hero whisper a sentence to Trisha - that the villain is not a good man. That's it - Trisha dont want to leave the hero now. ( now I am whispering to Subbu - magane, veetuku vaa, nee sethe daa inaiku. )


> Now that trisha is in love with Mahesh babu, obviously there will be a stunt sequence but what makes the stunt sequence froze in your mind is - hero nail villains foot with a knife in the thaar road. athavathu knife pierced the foot and also pierced the thar road to 1 feet that the doctors have to thondify the road and pethufy the thaar before getting villain into the ambulance. boy, Am i making sense...


> Let me try hard to remember what happenned next. yepp, got it... let me quickly run through who is Prakash Raj now. Prakash raj - close sishyar of villain - went to jail for villain before - now got released - learned everything from the villain about the hero, trisha, abduction, kaadu, container, release, stunt, thaar toad pethufy - pause. prakash raj is taking a resolution that he will banish hero and then return.


> Another stunt sequence - prakash raj got beaten for his life time. Prakash Raj is admitted in the same hospital where villain was admitted. Now Mahesh babu play a trick, he told villain that Prakash raj turned an approver. villain got scared and try to kill prakash raj by pillow moodify in the hospital. villain fell in the trap because hero changed prakash raj bed and also let prakash raj see his guru is ready to kill him.


> Now prakash raj is thirunthified and ready to kaatikuduthufy his parter in crime. (villain) Hero thinks it's risky to produce prakash raj in court as the villain is ready to do anything. On the court hearing morning he drove prakashraj to gemini channel instead to the court. He asks permission to the judge that can he undergo teleconferencing judgement. Judge after adjusting his spectacles, says yes. Blah Blah Blah, Rajaji, Kamarajar, Abdul Kalam Azhad, country need good politicians, blah blah blah. hero is sentenced uthamar and villain is sentenced to prison.


> Another stunt sequence, which is a real competition to our captain stunts. Hero have a marma adi under his belt. If he hit that in the nadu mandai, the internal cerebrum bleeds, the blood vessels bulge, ( trust me hero says this in the movie ) and there is no escape from sangu. he finally hit villain with that marana adi. subham...


Hero walks away with Trisha. out of focus, more out of focus, credits page, scrolling up..

(I am saying to my friends that i cant drive because I am deadly confused. )

Sainikudu - Hit or Miss ??

SAINIKUDU ( Soldier ).

The movie which created lot of expectations among the film buffs - not to admire Trisha - but to see how Mr. Gunashekar - the director of the film shown his technical brilliance while making this film. His earlier attempts with the same hero Mahesh Babu turned out to be huge blockbusters, be it Okkadu - Gilli in tamil - Arjun - which is gonna dubbed in tamil soon - everything was technically strong movies with good story lines.

Blah Blah Blah. That is history. What is Sainikudu up to ?

To our vijay - who gonna watch the film soon or later, dont worry I wont reveal the story here just because there is no such one in the movie.

Reel 1 - start 00:00 min

The movie starts with the usual hype. If you like to know - they titled Mahesh Babu as SUPER STAR in this movie.

Visual effects - Audio Engineer - DTS Mixer - Special effects coordinator - Stunts - Photography - Direction.

The credits page highlighting only these areas - making you sit straight promising it would be a technical feast.

Mahesh babu is getting up from the water with all the instruments in the world trying to sound through the speakers. Later we realise it's not just water, it's only water everywhere - flood - Mahesh babu and his friends is helping people, children out of the flood like Soldiers ( name justification )

> Well fitting intro to the hero, and the scene is handled well for the next 10 mins, huge sets filled with water, camera angles, underwater shots, the digital quality ( read the whole film is shot with an expensive super 35 mm digital camera ) make you WOW.

> Start the meejik ( Go Go Go Athigo ), nicely crafted sets, eye catching choreography, nice dance movements, foots tapping, u feel like dancing, the song is over. soembody ask for Repeat. Declined.

> Hero is not happy how the politician ( ofcourse villain ) handled the crisis aftermath. The relief operations only end up in more calamities. He dare to question him infront of public.

> After the usual mirattals of villain, to make the villain life worse, Hero emotionally vote his friend ( M.COM TOPPER ) for the coming election infront of the public. ( scenes copy and paste from Aayutha Ezuthu )

when we are tensed looking for the heroine intro, here she comes in the right time with a solo song ( sogasa chooda ). She is pretty asusual. (he..he..) Now with happy face, everybody is eager what would happen next.

> Villain put some false case on Hero and his friends and send him to Jail.

> Villain is getting ready for marriage in the meantime, he is dressed up in his bridegroom dress and waiting for the bride in the manai. the bride comes, It's Trisha. (I am telling to Subbu, my telugu friend - summa solla koodaathu, nalla thaandaa padam edukureenga.)

> In the mean time Hero escaped from Jail because of villain himself. ( villain is planning for something else which backfired due to hero's astuteness. )

> Because the hero escaped, the villain is shit scared and the marriage is taking place amidst very very tight security. But you are not a moron not to know that hero would enter anyway. He attend the marriage and abducts the heroine.

> Hero took villain's Heroine to a think jungle (kosuru seithi.. it's a jungle where naxals nadamaatam is there )

> Villain in the bridegroom dress chase the hero and end up in the same jungle with heaps of police as well.

> Hero odraar odraar odinde irukaar kaatla with heroine. (kalyaanam thaan katikitu odipolaama nu ketta trisha ithula kalyaanam katika mudiyaama koodave odinde irukaa)

> You remember I told the director is a guy who is very sound in technical aspects. He keeps a thrill sequence in the middle of the jungle where mahesh babu's leg is struck in a wood bridge which is hanging in 1 KM distance from the villain and co and 500 metres height. Villain saw the pair through his binocular on the bridge and ask trisha to run away leaving mahesh babu behind. Trisha is running, the villain ask his mates to throw bombs at the bridge. ( remember 1 KM distance ). They proved Einsteins law of projectile wrong by throwing bombs accurately. The bridge started to crumble from one side. Mahesh babu's leg is struck, the bridge crumbling before his eyes, he gotta do something. when the wood piece which is holding his foot crumble, at that nano second mahesh babu free up his foot and start running ahead. His foot is running and nanos to nano second the wood piece where his foot landed crumbles. He runs the whole bridge in this way. Ooh, Aah, Whistles everywhere. at the end of the race he catch up trisha and the running continues..

> Ivanga odrarthu paarthu romba moochu vaangi mudiyaama naan konjam coke kudikuren, the duo suddenly stopped. the villain team arrived too and in touching distance. whats happening ? Everybody in the theatre focus the screen, Hero cant run anymore, he reached a mine bomb field. ( remember naxals forest, connection achieved ) hero out of focus and we could see the bombs mined for the next 100 metres. After a brief pause, they started running again in the field with such care.

> But during the hopping trisha oru bomb a mithichitaa, Hero alekaa thookify trisha in one hand and get hold of a rope which is hanging from nowhere and passes the rest of the mine field with all the mines going off behind them. the duo crossed the mine field. apaada trisha ku onnum aagala...

> apdinu ninaichi mudikarthukulle villain oru bomb mela kaala vachitaan..
( endaa ipadi, kaasu kuduthu padam paarka vanthathu oru periya kuthamaa )

> but our hero is kind hearted - that he punctures a water tank with sharp axe throwing skills and sink the whole area with water. pataasu ellam buuss aayiduthaa nu naama ethirpaarkum bothu, buus ellam illai vedikum but vedichaa thanni thaane thelikum intha logic padi villain naiyum save panitaar Hero.

Hai mera dil...

An unbelievable effort otherwise known as Blogswara - 2 twinned with this November. These bunch of immensely talented guys - settled at various places on EARTH - once again proved to the world - though the physical boundaries DETACH them - still they all UNITED in music.

Even a person like me with very much limited music knowledge, could not go over this particular track. Boy - the lyrics, the orchestration, the voices takes you to a different level. when the Violin and the Piano forcing to melt you, you cant ask for more. Must listen to all the soft number loving hearts. Mr. Pradip Somasundaram - who composed and rendered this track is from the god's own country and predictably is so much blessed by HIM.

Ms. Swati lended the female voice just what the composer ordered. flawless. Emotional.

Hats off to you guys.

On the outset it looks like Vairamuthu is struggling for words, but the fact is both are masters in their Era. The following song epitomize the fluency of all the personalities involved in the song making. Be the Music Director Vidyasaagar, be the singer S.P.Bala, or be it Vairamuthu.
