In each house lives a person from a different country.
Each person drinks a certain drink, plays a certain sport, and keeps a certain pet.
No two people drink the same drink, play the same sport, or keep the same pet.
The Brit lives in a red house
The Swede keeps dogs
The Dane drinks tea
The green house is on the left of the white house
The green house owner drinks coffee
The person who plays polo rears birds
The owner of the yellow house plays hockey
The man living in the house right in the centre drinks milk
The Norwegian lives in the first house
The man who plays baseball lives next to the man who keeps cats
The man who keeps horses lives next to the one who plays hockey
The man who plays billiards drinks beer
The German plays soccer
The Norwegian lives next to the blue house
The man who plays baseball has a neighbour who drinks water.

Who Owns The Fish?
I haven't tried it so I too dont know the answer, got this puzzle to my mailbox and the message said that 98 % who tried to solve could not solve this. Lets all try to prove that's wrong...start solving.

The grey cells are the knowns. Some guess work (amd more elimination logic) will lead you to the answer. BTW I did not double check. Let me know if my answer is wrong!?

"The green house is on the left of the white house" but it doesn't say it's immediate left or not. so i guessed this wae...

really a very good puzzle. trust me, wont get solved easily...
glad i solved it.. did anybody got the answer..???? if then just let the blog know that you know the answer, dont reveal it until everybody gives a try.

the answer is German, your chart and shiva's chart is same,but i got a different chart which will also satisfy all the conditions but the answer would remain same.

Good One....The only thing we were missing was not associating the Swede and dog with Billiards and Beer. For some reason we were separating them and it never went with German and soccer. But when we clubbed the 1st 4, we could easily fix the puzzle...
Srika - good one. Pls give such on friday evenings so that we can solve on sat/sun. today it got late to office solving this puzzle...didnt feel like getting up also...Good one...

that was "my" chart. Siva also got the same one..srikanth's one he says is different - we need the one from him. I am waiting too for his chart..
