On the outset it looks like Vairamuthu is struggling for words, but the fact is both are masters in their Era. The following song epitomize the fluency of all the personalities involved in the song making. Be the Music Director Vidyasaagar, be the singer S.P.Bala, or be it Vairamuthu. Kaatril varum geethame...

If I am not wrong, this track is everybody's favourite. Shortly, another feather on Ilaiyaraaja's hat. I was so upset with the picturisation of the song, adding to that the guy we gonna blame for that is Mr. Fazil, one of my favourite director in the Industry. When I saw the singers name qued up at Raaga - Hariharan, Shreya Ghoshal, Bhavatharini, Ilayaraja, Sadhana Sargam, I was wondering how Isaignaani would have used everybody in the track. When i finished listening, the feeling was like a solved Sudoku. Every voice fitting perfectly in their groove which only a magician like maestro can achieve. The lyrics by valee is refreshing for ears and the soul.

My knowledge about carnatic music is what Indians gifted to the mathematics world, centuries before. But when coming to listening, Indeed I will stand first. This is one such song which engrossed me fully. The flutes, violins, veenas, mirudangam, jing - you can hear the entire roster of carnatic instruments in the song. Perfecto for anytime hear and now it's time to sing along.

Paluke Bangaaramayenaa...

I was searching for this song since I saw the movie - Sri Ramadasu. Got it todae, and I am writing this straight away. Generally in Telugu movies, you smell that masala factor an ounce higher but among the crowd there are directors in telugu only filming these kinds of 'sarithira subjects'. you gotta appreciate the effort they put in movies like 'Sri Ramadasu' 'Annamayya' . The best thing is these movies are huge Blockbusters there. Wonder why the scarce in other languages including tamizh. I always feel tamizh history have more heroes to speak, write and film about.

About the song, one of the best in the carnatic ocean. Heard the rendition of the same song by Dr. BalamuraliKrishnaa and Unnikrishnan. Though every version is different on its own - in the singing style, alapanaas etc., it gives the same magic feeling. I feel, while composing music for the carnatic tracks, the composer gotta have immense talent to emerge good. Keeravaani surfaced with the best tracks in the movie and this one is sung by Himself and Chitra. Chitra's mellifluous yet strong voice is a huge + . You cant imagine how well the girl's voice emotes the mood - Divine - and you cant void the spell it cast on you. Next time when you guys visit the DVD shop, look out for this movie and watch it.

ஒரு வழியாக இரண்டு வாரம் கழித்து ஒரு பதிவு. பதிவு, கவிச்சக்கரவர்த்தி ஒட்டகூத்தரின் வரலாறைப்பற்றியது என்று தலைப்பை பார்த்து அறிந்தேன். வேலை பளு என்று பொய் சொல்ல போவது இல்லை. தோய்வு என்று வைத்துக்கொள்ளலாம். இன்றோடு மீள்வோம் என்ற நம்பிக்கையில், இதோ மற்றுமொரு ஒலி பதிவு. நானும் இந்த கதையை இன்னமும் கேட்கவில்லை. அனைவரும் கேட்போம். பின்னூட்டம் என்ற உந்துதல் அவசியம்.

காக்க காக்க படம் பார்த்ததில்லை நீ, அதுல வர சூர்யா க்லோன் தான் இந்த எஸ்.ஐ வெங்கட். கடவுள் நம்பிக்கை இருந்தா, கண்ணை மூடி வேண்டிக்க, இன்னைக்கு உன்னை உயிரோட வெளியே அனுப்பர்தா இல்லை. ஒன்னா ரெண்டா 60 பேர போட்டுத்தள்ளி இருக்கீங்க. ஆளும்கட்சியும் எதிர்க்கட்சியும் அடிச்சிக்குது, உங்களால சட்டம் ஒழுங்கு கெட்டுக் குட்டிச்சுவரா கிடக்கு. இருட்டுல செஞ்சுக்கிட்டுருந்த வேலைய இப்போ யார் குடுக்குற தைரியமோ பட்ட பகல்லேயே ஆரம்பிச்சிட்டீங்க. அங்கே வாய வச்சி இங்கே வாய வச்சி இன்னைக்கு என் வீட்லையே. என்கொன்டர்ல உயிர விட போறியேனு சந்தோஷப்படு, சிரமப்படாமல் போய் சேரலாம். பேசிக்கொண்டே எதிராளி எதிர்பாராத நேரத்தில், சொத் !! கை முழுக்க சிக்கன்குனியா கொசுவின் ரத்தம்.

Made me feel nostaligic, I have very vague memory that mylapore Bhavani paati used to tell stories during saapaadu neram. I have manipulated the links and made them looped in our player, all you gotta do is click the play and start listening, the story is split in 7 parts, listen to all the clips. everybody write their comments which will again take us back down the memory lane..
