Can you predict whats going to happen in 2010. What are the developments revolutionary ideas..going to be in some fields..

Things have not changed much in the Automotive industry side for a long time. Do you think of any new ideas
that will sweep the world..in this field.? Think about engines.., technology...roads..
I think we need to develop the next generation machines....
In tech side : Whats after the internet boom? google maps, google earth..AJAX .
What will happen to the telecom industry? Free telephone calls..is it possible at all? Who is going to pay?
About environment : Will we be able to develop new technologies to get clean water..even in the most dry parts of the world..
What about garbage collection, recycling..
You think coffee shops , fast food joints are relatively new concepts..Anything new you think of in this sector..packaging , preserving, catering food?
What else do you think is going to be the face of the new world....not too far but when we are in our 40's and 50's. There are some challenges that we need to face and address immediately without which the benefits of the new world will not be shared by the entire world..what are those? Ideas?
The site has so many contributors who work in the software industry..so we need to have a tech update right atleast one a month? I am going to give some puzzlers and general interview questions in my next update as well.
1. How to design a restaurant reservation system? General idea of tables..associations..

Consider this array
int arr[3]= {1,2,3} So if we have an array (it could be having n elements)
We need to find out which is the sub sequence of the array that has the maximum value
(value denotes here the sum of all the elements of the subsequence)
For example : (1), (1,2) and (1,2,3) and (2), (2,3) - like that all permutations are sub sequences - which of the subsequence totals upto a maximum value..(probably in this example it would be 1+2+3
Note: your array could have negative elements also.
We need the index of the starting and ending elements of sub sequence as the result..not the total of the elements.
Can you code this - choose any language - any logic - recursion - do while - for loop..
